The Road to Oz, by L. Frank Baum, is the fifth book in the Oz series. Dorothy is near her home in Kansas when the story begins. She and her dog Toto first meet the Shaggy Man, a wandering hobo. Further on, the road splits into seven paths.They take the seventh and soon meet up with fanciful characters such as Button Bright, a little boy in a sailor's outfit who is always getting lost, and Polychrome the Rainbow's Daughter. Dorothy soon realizes she is on another fairy adventure on the road to Oz.
