The Scarecrow of Oz

$1.00

The Scarecrow of Oz, by L. Frank Baum, is the ninth book in the Oz series. Cap'n Bill, a sailor with a wooden peg-leg, and his friend, a little girl named Trot, set out from California for a short ride in their row-boat. The calm day suddenly turns stormy and Cap'n Bill and Trot are washed overboard. Mermaids carry them to a cave where they meet an ostrich-like flying creature called an Ork. The adventure starts when Cap'n Bill and Trot fly away on the Ork's back, eventually ending up in the kingdom of Jinxland, where unsettling events are taking place.
